Seafood Specialist

Details: As the Seafood Specialist member of our Seafood team, your role will include ordering, replenishing, merchandising Seafood products. Including the buying, stocking, inventory and margin control of a specific sub-department within the Seafood Department. Additionally you will work to maintain attractive Seafood displays and supporting the regional Seafood vision. You will ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service to customers and team members.Principle Duties and Responsibilities Include: • Set, and achieve, the highest standards in retail execution.• Provide our guests with legendary guest service.• Complete maintenance of a seafood sub-department.• Ordering product from vendors as appropriate• Stocking product• Maintain a well-stocked and well-merchandised department.• Control spoilage and sampling• Assist in the training and development of Team Members.• Achieve required margin targets for appropriate sub-department• Support goals and visions of Team Leader.• Support all regional and global programs and policies.• Work a minimum of one closing shift per week, as well as one weekend day per week. • Work all inventories as required, and monitor inventory levels and purchase journals.• Meet all accounting deadlines.• Uphold all standards pertaining to cleanliness and HACCP programs. • Maintain safe, clean and well-organized working and shopping environment• Comply with all regulatory rules and regulations including HACCP, OSHA, Dept. of Labor, Weights and Measures and local food and sanitation laws.• Complete specials projects and other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: • Strong basic math skills including the ability to add, multiply, divide, subtract and calculate percentages.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook• Successful experience working in a retail seafood environment• Strong demonstrated guest service skills• Excellent communication skills • Strong demonstrated organizational skills• Strong demonstrated merchandising skills and seafood product knowledge• The ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays Working conditions: • Standing and walking for extended periods of time, up to 8-10 hours.• Bending, stooping, and climbing.• Mental and physical dexterity.• Unassisted heavy lifting.• Use of box cutters.• Use of ladders.• Iteration of duties.Internal Applicants must submit an Internal Application form. Seafood Managers/Clerks

Details: To provide excellent, friendly, upbeat customer service while preparing and serving a wide variety of  Seafood products, to clean and organize the Seafood Area, and complete shift duties. Also Seafood Manager must insure product availability, adhere to merchandising guidelines, receive department loads. In addition Manager must also hire, train, discipline, schedule, and maintain reports for those working under him/her. This position requires adhering to all procedural guidelines set by the Food Service Department.No Seafood experience needed!!! However, candidate must display outstanding customer service, ability to adapt to a fast pace environment and must be able to work well independently and in a team setting. If you are passionate about working and are willing to learn, please apply.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Interview, hire, train, schedule, discipline (if needed) staff in Seafood Department. Serve customers efficiently through knowledge of seafood products and varieties, as well as product location. Insure product availability, and make sure items are properly priced in a timely manner. Receive loads while keeping an eye out for freshness and conditions of products. Keep department and equipment clean at all times, following company and department sanitation guidelines. Maintain proper temperature and humidity levels for seafood products. Properly prepare orders that are to be submitted in a timely manner. Ensure accuracy in regards to receiving orders and stocking items . Counsel employees through constant communication of performance and customer service expectations. Communicate with other Department Managers to improve the overall outlook, reputation and profitability of the store in general. Set up, organize, and maintain professional item display of products for the customers. Maintain professional appearance at all times. Serve as a role model and lead by example. Comply with Health Department Regulations. Fulfill all shift duties. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Required frequently: standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching,  ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Offer product samples and suggestions for purchase and preparation in a friendly, courteous manner.
