Business Developer-Sales

Details: Reports to:  VP Sales—Business Development FLSA Status:  Exempt Purpose: Business Developer is responsible for all new business development, handling sales calls whether lead driven or by cold calling, food shows, warehouse management and relationships within assigned territory.  This person is ultimately responsible for sustaining our existing market and developing new business in order to grow product & equipment distribution within territory.  This at times could require extensive travel.  Primary focus should be on achieving company growth and profitability goals. Primary Responsibilities:  Champs Chicken Program sales Focus in C-Store, Grocery, or Free Standing Cold calls to potential customers FUP on all show & other leads Develop & close deals Utilize existing relationships to gain new referrals & leads Oversee details of new accounts from sales cycle through opening of account. Focus on filling truck routes or growing sales thru distribution partners with additional accounts. To ensure we close quality and profitable accounts that are dedicated to the Champs Chicken Program. Work close with sales team of Territory Managers within sales territory.   Equipment sales Develop detailed knowledge of equipment used in deli environments Develop & maintain relationship with large chains, engineers, & buyers of equipment Identify store needs to provide them with equipment solutions Develop & close deals Use Champs Chicken Program to drive equipment sales.   Manage existing business Work with office staff, and Territory Manager to ensure all operating needs of customers are met. Work with Territory Manager’s preparing new accounts for opening. Cross sale of additional products to existing customer, based upon need. Visit existing accounts & maintain relationship with owner or decision maker for leads or addition of multiple store locations. Train & re-train customers as needed, to ensure Champs Chicken procedures are being followed.   Business relationships  Develop & maintain business relationships which affect company profitability and goals. Other vendors & distributors – work with to develop referrals, suppliers, or distributor networks   All other duties as assigned.  Focus on achieving company goals.
