If you seek to advance your career in food safety, then Chemstar Corporation is the place for you! The Chemstar Food Safety Specialist (FSS) is the “Face of Chemstar". A FSS is responsible for providing Food Safety and Sanitation Services to a series of retail grocery stores in a specific territory. During the Routine Service Visit, the FSS completes a standardized Food Safety and Sanitation Audit that encompasses all aspects of retail grocery food safety, ensures that Associates are adhering to Company Standard Operating Procedures, verifies that all Chemstar Dispensing Equipment is in good working order, and that all Associates understand how to properly use all chemicals related to the Food Safety and Sanitation Program. Additionally, the FSS will utilize his/her knowledge and experience in food safety to administer Field Training, which is accomplished with “hands-on" training and the use of a comprehensive electronic video library available through Chemstar’s Knowledge Center. Ultimately, it is the FSS’s primary responsibility to assess food safety and sanitation practices in a retail grocery store, record the information, develop an action plan on how to improve compliance, and provide training where and when necessary.
