Associate Store Team Leader (Assistant Store Manager)

Details: We are looking for an experienced, passionate retail leader to join to the Southwest Region of Whole Foods Market, and help take us to the next level as a Metro Associate Store Team Leader . In order to prepare the right person for a Store Team Leader role, the position requires the ability to transfer to any Austin area metro store. This is a great opportunity to come grow with store leadership in the Southwest Region of Whole Foods Market. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Include: • Support and assist the Store Team Leader in all areas of store operations• Set and achieve the highest standards in retail execution• Drive great guest service throughout the store• Hire, train and develop Team Leaders and Assistant Team Leaders• Help with overall store merchandising plans• Help maintain strong store morale• Be active in the community • Assist the Store Team Leader to meet or exceed financial targets• Support and sustain Store, Regional and National policies and programs• Support and/or transfer to metro area stores as needed• Complete specials projects as assigned• Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: • Associate Store Team Leader (Assistant General Manager) OR strong Team Leader (Department Manager) experience overseeing Team Members in a retail, food or service industry required• Ability and willingness to transfer to other stores in the metro area as needed• Strong food retail background is required• Strong guest service experience• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards• Demonstrated merchandising ability• Strong financials acumen and budgeting skills• Strong computer skills, including Excel and Word• Excellent communication and guest service skills • The desire and demonstrated ability to move into a Store Leadership position• The ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays and weekends, and travel as needed Working conditions: • Standing and walking for extended periods of time, up to 8-10 hours.• Bending, stooping, and climbing.• Mental and physical dexterity.• Unassisted heavy lifting.• Use of box cutters.• Use of ladders.• Iteration of duties.
