Director of Sales - National Accounts (Seattle, WA)

Because you are expected to recruit new customers and ensure that existing customers receive excellent service, we need an individual who will take ownership of this position, continuing to show how our product and services will meet their needs. We are the largest private labeling water bottling company and you'll protect our world class reputation by delivering a high-level of performance. Keys to Success: You will be responsible for achieving forecasted goals that will not only expand clientele base, but ensure customer retention. We want both existing and new customers within our market to remain engaged in their business relationships with Niagara. Achieve/exceed sales performance goals with specific set of accounts (cases and revenue).Develop customer annual sales plans, manage execution of those plans, and achieve all key performance metrics.Achieve x% case and x% revenue growth.Achieve x% private label penetration.Attend quarterly business reviews with all customers managed and specific Senior Account Manager.Costco divisions (NE, SE, MW, TX, SD, LA, and BA), Kroger, Walmart, Target, Supervalu/Albertsons (Irvine, Phoenix, Acme, and Shaws), Lowes, 7-Eleven, and Kmart.Identify opportunities for and develop annual causal marketing, cross-promotional, and other annual program strategies.Achieve item expansion goals (alternative beverages, other bottle sizes, etc).Develop merchandising optimization process and achieve annual goals.Achieve specific account business expansion goals (ex. Walmart DC's, Supervalu/Alb. DC's, etc).Relationship development and retention of 100% account responsibilities.Attend all store opening, large-scale charity events, and other relevant customer events.Facilitate one annual plant tour and/or entertainment event with all customers.Goal to develop close personal relationships with customers at Director level.Drive broker accountability, manage VP level corporate broker relationships, and manage account specific accountability plan development.Annual planning meeting to develop specific performance metrics.Facilitate plant tours with account level broker VP's and team.Train, motivate, and develop Senior Account Managers.Manage monthly team meetings.Bi-annual team building events.Weekly accountability/development calls.Attend a minimum of 4 customer meetings per year with each team member.Coordinate necessary external training/development.Responsibility for pricing approval, margin protection, and SKU proliferation.Manage account within corporate pricing parameters.Work closely with Senior Account Managers on all bid/pricing negotiations.Approve all new item requests and manage book of business consistent with corporate goals.Manage month-to-month sales team forecasting process and work with entire sales team on achieving MAPE goals.Quarterly review of model performance.Communicate divisional opportunities with regional Directors.Work with internal stakeholders on optimizing process.Develop (with VP Sales) annual staffing plan.Identification of personnel coverage opportunities (too many/too few).Presentation of rational behind cuts/expansion.Identify, create execution strategy, and achieve annual cost control metrics and supply chain improvement.Annual T&E budgets.Expense report management.Identification of day-to-day operational opportunities (customer or Niagara) and develop strategy to ensure working with customers in most cost efficient manner.Examples: fine mitigation, understanding of customer specific supply chain performance metrics, vendor managed inventory opportunities, etc. Minimum Required:Years of Experience in Field: 10-15Years of Experience in Position:Years of Experience in Supervising Employees: 5-7Preferred (Optimal Candidate):Years of Experience in Field: 12+Years of Experience in Position:Years of Experience in Supervising Employees: 7-10 Required Skills (List all that apply) Setting short and Long term sales strategyCreating policies, objectives, initiatives Education Minimum Required:Bachelor's DegreePreferred (Optimal Candidate):Master's Degree Minimal Direction: The employee is given responsibility for independently planning, designing and carrying out programs, projects and studies in accordance with broad policy statements and/or legal requirements.
